Developing a Search Strategy Online

Successful research relies on having a good search strategy.  Building on the Exploring a Topic workshop, this session will discuss how to effectively plan and execute a search for information using our library search system. Students will learn how to break a complex research question down into simple search concepts, identifying key terms and combining them with "AND", "OR", and "NOT" operators to create appropriate search strings, as well as utilizing database filters and other advanced search techniques to refine a list of search results.
